30+ Years Growing Recurring Revenue From Zero to $500M+.
I’ve led growth on the path to IPO at Remitly (NASDAQ: RELY) and through NYSE IPO at Spire Global (NYSE: SPIR), built four product lines past $100M in annual recurring revenue, earned my MBA at Harvard Business School, and bring 30+ years of hands-on execution across marketing, sales, and retention.
C-Suite Judgment Meets Hands-On Individual Contributor Execution.
Hi, I’m Kevin Nakao. I founded REVgtm to bring over 30 years of hands-on leadership across sales, marketing, and customer success directly to your business, having grown recurring and subscription revenues from zero to over $500 million.
I built and scaled sales and marketing engines through IPO at Spire Global (NYSE: SPIR) and on the path to IPO at Remitly (NASDAQ: RELY), started four product lines that each drove over $100M in recurring revenue, and led double-digit growth at AT&T Wireless, TINYpulse (acquired by WebMD), RealNetworks, WhitePages, and Viacom.
I earned my BA in Philosophy from Whitman College and my MBA from Harvard Business School.
Every engagement includes a permanent, client-owned library of short Loom video walkthroughs and written step-by-step SOP documentation built directly inside your stack, so when I hand off a campaign, dashboard, or AI workflow, your team knows exactly how to run and scale it on their own without agency dependency.

“From Rap Fans to Immigrant Families, Tapping Customers for Answers.”
In its flagship Working Geek profile series, GeekWire chronicled how my career across music, mobile wireless, B2B SaaS, and global FinTech has followed one consistent operating principle: talking directly to customers and inspecting real behavioral data before scaling spend.
From entering the Green Lake Milk Carton Derby with my family (pictured in the GeekWire feature) to coaching leadership teams on data-driven positioning and Minimum Viable Experiments, I bring a builder's curiosity and hands-on discipline to every client engagement.
